That's a wrap on Made in the West TV!

The SSP team was in the studio this week shooting a television show with our all-Western Sydney crew made up of students, graduates and alumni from WSU. It was great to be back at Parramatta campus, in our element and at the helm of the studio like good ol' times. Made in the West TV was brought about thanks to the very generous support of Western Sydney University. The show features interviews with our three major award winners, snippets from our three trophy-winning films, plus highlights from this year’s festival. We were thrilled to welcome our host Sunil Badami back to his old stomping ground to discuss all things filmmaking, diversity, short films and Western Sydney. He was a fantastic

THANKS to our 2018 Festival Contributors!

Made in the West Film Festival has a lot to be thankful for. We feel so privileged to be surrounded by such talented local filmmakers that is a real joy to share their stories on the big screen every year. The community of filmmakers that we celebrate are dedicated, creative and very ambitious. Being in the crowd last Saturday at the festival was just electric, and for SSP, having hundreds of filmmakers in the room cheering for each other’s work was, without a doubt, the best part of the night (and a very large part of WHY we do what we do). We think this year’s festival showed exactly what Western Sydney is made of, and we were blown away! Still Searchin’ Productions would like to thank som

2018 FINALISTS announced!

In 2018, Made in the West Film Festival will feature 14 short films made by filmmakers from right across Western Sydney; from Fairfield to Telopea, and Kellyville to Campbelltown. While the films may differ in genre and type, they all share one thing in common: they each feature a cast member, crew member or location from Western Sydney. And we think that’s pretty awesome! In this year’s festival line-up you’ll get to see some comedy, documentaries, dramatic web series, crime dramas, thrillers and even some post-apocalyptic action films. The program is a mixed bag, as always! Without a doubt, the Western Sydney films we are seeing today are more gutsy, more unique and more well crafted than

Bravo! We wish we could include you all in our festival line-u
