Made in the West CREATIVE are the team that plans and produces Made in the West Film Festival each year, sponsoring the event and all major awards. When we're not hosting Sydney's best short film festival, we're busy building a creative network of filmmakers that specialises in making short form documentary and narrative content with Western Sydney at its heart. STILL SEARCHIN' PRODUCTIONS

Still Searchin' Productions is the founders of Made in the West and the film crew that first captured the hearts of the Western Sydney community with an annual film festival. When we're not hosting events, you can catch us on The Pagey Train podcast interviewing local artists and celebrities. LUKE WALKER PRODUCTIONS

Luke Walker has worked as DOP / Aerial DOP for some of the country’s biggest brands including Open Universities Australia, Sony and ANZ Bank, and some of the country’s biggest on-screen talent. Recently you’d have found him on set of Sydney-filmed blockbusters including Pacific Rim and Peter Rabbit. Luke has a huge collection of lighting and equipment and he loves shooting short films with up-and-coming producers, partly because he remembers what it was like to be starting out once too.

SWR 99.9 FM

Founded in 2010 by Pete Ireland, Opening Act Films is a boutique screen production outfit specialising in indie film, episodic, and corporate creative storytelling. Since 1984, ACE has worked with Western Sydney communities, artists and creative producers. In 2010, they established a digital arts facility in Parramatta offering digital media and professional development courses and production and training programs that have helped hundreds of Western Sydney creatives, delivering professional development pathways for emerging cultural entrepreneurs.

AUSTRALIAN PRODUCTION DESIGN GUILD

The Australian Production Design Guild was established in 2009 as a non-profit organisation that aims to represent designers and their associates in screen, live performance, events and digital production across Australia; to recognise and nurture excellence in design through awards, mentoring and accreditation; and to raise the profile of stage and screen design and facilitate a vibrant design community.

AUSTRALIAN WRITERS' GUILD

The Australian Writers’ Guild is the professional association representing writers for stage, screen, radio and online and has protected and promoted their creative and professional interests for 60 years. AUSTRALIAN GUILD OF SCREEN COMPOSERS

The Australian Guild of Screen Composers is a community of professional screen composers, dedicated to supporting both emerging and established Australian screen composers in film, television, gaming or related industries. They provide support, information, community and education for all Australian screen composers, and advocate at the highest levels of government for a sustainable and prosperous screen composition sector within the Australian screen industry sector.

WOMEN IN FILM & TELEVISION

In 1982 a group of women, committed to improving the position and representation of women in the film and television industries, established Women in Film & Television NSW. They have an exciting slate of monthly events scheduled with funding support from Create NSW and the City of Sydney. WIFT NSW has a strong focus on advocacy in order to make lasting change in the screen industry. They promote diverse and positive representation of women in screen-based media, enhance women's professional development, ensure Equal Employment Opportunities for women, promote women's achievements, maintain a communications network for women, raise women's issues, and speak on behalf of our members and lobby for improvement in the related industries.

AUSTRALIANS IN FILM

Australians in Film (AiF) is the Los Angeles‐based non-profit championing Australian creators on the global stage. Through professional development, strategic networking and high-profile industry programs, AiF opens doors for Australian screen talent to make waves internationally. From its membership of actors and filmmakers to its market-leading initiatives, Australians in Film represents a bridge from the west of Sydney — and Australia at large — to the world’s screen ecosystem.

Australian Screen Editors (ASE) is the professional association for screen editors working across features, documentaries, television, online content and immersive media.
