Event Cinemas Liverpool is the proud venue sponsor of Made in the West Film Festival. Western Sydney University offers a Bachelor of Communication in Media Arts Production with hands-on experience and strong links to the screen industry, giving you real skills in screen and television production. Plus, their new Liverpool campus is right next door to Event Cinemas (hello $8 student tickets). Western Sydney University generously supports the production of our television chat show Made in the West TV, which is recorded at their state-of-the-art TV studio at Parramatta South campus.

Luke Walker has worked as DOP / Aerial DoP for some of the country’s biggest brands including Open Universities Australia, Sony and ANZ Bank, working with some of the country’s biggest on-screen talent. Recently, you’d have found him on set of Sydney-filmed blockbusters including Pacific Rim and Peter Rabbit. Luke has a huge collection of lighting and equipment and he loves shooting short films with up-and-coming producers, partly because he remembers what it was like to be starting out once too.
