Made in the West CREATIVE are the team that plans and produces Made in the West Film Festival each year, sponsoring the event and all major awards. When we're not hosting Sydney's best short film festival, we're busy building a creative network of filmmakers that specialises in making short form documentary and narrative content with Western Sydney at its heart. We are strong advocates for Western Sydney filmmakers and the emerging talent in our local film scene. Still Searchin' Productions is the founders of Made in the West and the film crew that first captured the hearts of the Western Sydney community with an annual film festival. Luke Walker has worked as DOP / Aerial DOP for some of the country’s biggest brands including Open Universities Australia, Sony and ANZ Bank, and some of the country’s biggest on-screen talent. Recently you’d have found him on set of Sydney-filmed blockbusters including Pacific Rim and Peter Rabbit. Luke has a huge collection of lighting and equipment and he loves shooting short films with up-and-coming producers, partly because he remembers what it was like to be starting out once too.

Founded in 2010 by Pete Ireland, Opening Act Films is a boutique screen production outfit specialising in indie film, episodic, and corporate creative storytelling. Since 1984, ICE has worked with Western Sydney communities, artists and creative producers.
