MADE IN THE WEST CREATIVE

Made in the West CREATIVE are the team that plans and produces Made in the West Film Festival each year, sponsoring the event and all major awards. When we're not hosting Sydney's best short film festival, we're busy building a creative network of filmmakers that specialises in making short form documentary and narrative content with Western Sydney at its heart. We are strong advocates for Western Sydney filmmakers and the emerging talent in our local film scene. STILL SEARCHIN' PRODUCTIONS

Still Searchin' Productions is the founders of Made in the West and the film crew that first captured the hearts of the Western Sydney community with an annual film festival. When we're not hosting events, you can catch us on The Pagey Train podcast interviewing local artists and celebrities. We love collaborating on creative projects, particularly ADR & Foley work, music videos, short films, documentaries, podcasts and promo videos.

WSU offers a Bachelor of Screen Media with hands-on experience and strong links to the screen industry, providing real skills in screen production across drama, documentary, VR, interactive and web series. LUKE WALKER PRODUCTIONS

Luke Walker has worked as DOP / Aerial DOP for some of the country’s biggest brands including Open Universities Australia, Sony and ANZ Bank, and some of the country’s biggest on-screen talent. Recently you’d have found him on set of Sydney-filmed blockbusters including Pacific Rim and Peter Rabbit. Luke has a huge collection of lighting and equipment and he loves shooting short films with up-and-coming producers, partly because he remembers what it was like to be starting out once too.

OPENING ACT FILMS

Founded in 2010 by Pete Ireland, Opening Act Films is a boutique screen production outfit specialising in indie film, episodic, and corporate creative storytelling. Opening Act Films has created award-winning screen stories that have been screened in Australian Academy (AACTA) accredited, FIAPF accredited and Oscar accredited film festivals; broadcast on television in Australia and Europe, and screened in many other film festivals in Australia and internationally. We are a professional member of Screen Producers Australia and The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA).
