Made in the West Film Festival is an annual film festival based in Western Sydney that showcases short films by independent, student and emerging filmmakers. Through cinema screenings, awards programs and online access, the festival connects local filmmakers with audiences across Australia.
Founded in 2012 and hosted by Made in the West CREATIVE, Made in the West is the biggest annual celebration of Western Sydney talent on the big screen.
The festival provides a platform for independent films from Western Sydney that may not otherwise be accessible through mainstream cinema or streaming services.
