Made in the West is returning to Event Cinemas in Liverpool for the second year running, and we couldn't be more excited to be screening Western Sydney-made films in the awesome big screen Vmax cinema at Event Cinemas in Liverpool.
Let’s all think back to 2018: the three storey screen, luxurious leather seats, surround sound and digital cinema package, not to mention the private bar and being snapped by the paps on the red carpet with hundreds of other local filmmakers... Quite understandably, we’re thrilled to bits to be coming back to Liverpool Event Cinemas!
From the Still Searchin’ Productions team and also, on behalf of the whole Western Sydney filmmaking community, we’d like to thank the management and team at Event Cinemas in Liverpool for being such supporting champions of the Western Sydney film scene and supporters of local indie films. Their vision for working with community and bringing local stories to the big screen is inspirational and we are very happy to be working alongside them to build Western Sydney film audiences and develop community support for local film producers.
We can't wait for this year's festival on Saturday 23 November - doors open at 6pm for a full night of short films, awards and networking, finishing with a live VOTE for the winner of our Audience Choice Award and the presentation of our two top trophies.
But once we've crowned our winners, that doesn’t mean the night is over. Hell no! We’ve got an after party to crash!
You heard us right - The Mac Hotel is the perfect spot for an after party!
Thanks to the team at the Macquarie Hotel and our good friends at the Mac Bistro, we’re inviting you to join us for a celebratory bevvy (or three) at the finest pub in town, complete with late-night pub grub to settle those midnight munchies. Yep that’s right, they're keeping the kitchen open (hella) late for us!
Just a short walk from Event Cinemas at the end of the night, we’ll be making our way to the Macquarie Hotel by 11pm on Saturday 23 November to toast to this year's winners and celebrate into the night with Western Sydney’s filmmaking community in their swanky outdoor beer garden and lounge.

Every year Made in the West gets bigger and better, so strap yourselves in and get ready to party!
