Thanks to Photo+Shop+Studio we’ve got a brand new Benro tripod (valued at $100) to add to the prize package for Best Cinematographer. Luke Walker has worked as DOP / Aerial DOP for some of the country’s biggest brands, including Sony and ANZ Bank, while working with some of the country’s biggest on-screen talent. Recently, you’d have found him on set at Sydney-filmed blockbusters Pacific Rim and Peter Rabbit.

Luke has a huge collection of lighting and equipment and he loves shooting short films with up-and-coming producers, partly because he remembers what it was like to be starting out once too. Check out his work and get yourself ready, because we’ve certainly left the best announcement until last!

Thanks to Luke Walker Productions, the 2018 Best in the West Award winner will be awarded a 4-day DOP package (valued at $5000) with equipment and lighting included, so you can have Luke on set of your next short film! Luke will work with you to create your perfect scenes, producing cinema quality vision and helping you reach every Western Sydney filmmakers next big goal: to make another short film in 2019!
