2017 Made in the West is OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS!
Made in the West Short Film Festival is back – and we’re now officially OPEN for submissions! Entries close at midnight on the 10th November 2017.
Have you made a short film this year that features a location, cast or crew member from Western Sydney?
We accept all genres of film: doco’s, mocko’s, drama, horror, music videos, animation, coms and rom-coms… You name it, we’re keen to screen it!
We don’t place restrictions on your creativity, so there are no rules about exclusive screening rights, compulsory signature items or certain genre specifications – your creativity is free to reign! Check out our Entry Criteria page for full details.
Made in the West 2017 will be held on Saturday 25th November at the Paddo RSL (upstairs). Join us for a marathon film screening of Western Sydney's best flicks of 2017 and we'll finish the night with an awards ceremony to remember!
All films are judged by an independent panel of industry professionals. VIP finalists will compete for the major prize awards for Best in the West (independent films only) and Best Student Film. Individual category awards for Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Editor, Best Sound Design, and Best Actor/Actress will be presented throughout the night.
The final trophy rests in the hands of the audience – could it go your way? We count the votes for the crowd's favourite film of the night and one lucky winner goes home with the highly coveted Audience Choice Award!
Made in the West Film Festival is an inclusive event celebrating Western Sydney's emerging and established film talent – join us for a great night!
Entries close 10th November 2017.
