Keep calm, everyone. Tickets are now available for Made in the West 2025!

Yes – the most magical time of the year has rolled around once again where the most hotly contested tickets this side of Sydney are open for registration. Book your seats now!

ree

It's been another HUGE year of creative film projects made in the west. We've already broken the record for the number of short films submitted to the festival with more than 70 short films, web series and music videos entered so far this year – and that’s all thanks to YOU!

The volume and quality of work coming out of Western Sydney right now is off the hook!

Check out the 2025 Official Selection and Program here.

We can't wait to celebrate you all across our NEW expanded festival season, with MEGA Movie Marathon screenings happening from ALL SUMMER LONG at venues across the greater Western Sydney region.

ree

That's right – for the first time ever, Made in the West is going to be screening our short film line-up at pop-up screenings across Western Sydney, plus we'll be streaming our streaming online throughout summer.

That means more screenings, more venues, more opportunities to celebrate local stories.

ree

So please join us at Event Cinemas Liverpool for our Opening Night event on Saturday 22 November – doors open at 6pm for red carpet entry, with the screening and awards kicking off at 7:30pm.

The best of Western Sydney's creative community will be out in full force – you have to be there!

Then, buckle up for a summer packed with short film screenings at Event Cinemas Liverpool, Event Cinemas Campbelltown, Street University Liverpool, Bankstown Arts Centre, Arts & Cultural Exchange (ACE) Parramatta, and our epic Closing Night Party at The Joan Penrith on Saturday 28 February.

We've prepared some information and helpful resources below to assist you in registering for our events: you'll find a stack of FAQs and step-by-step instructions below.

Even if you've attended the festival before, we encourage you to read on as we've made a few changes this year!

We love throwing a party that celebrates the creative work of Western Sydney filmmakers.

As always, our flagship Opening Night is free to attend, PLUS we offer a limited amount of paid tickets for those who would like to make a contribution to our event running costs. Then, we've done a deal to make sure that our Summer-long cinema screenings will be the most affordable night out in town.

Whether you're joining us at Opening Night, online or in-person throughout summer, or helping us celebrate the season at Closing Night, we look forward to hosting you and showcasing the very best of the year's short films #MadeInTheWest!

Here are the ticket options for Opening Night (Saturday 22 November at Event Cinemas Liverpool):

ree

General Admission tickets (FREE): This ticket is free and open to anyone, including all cast & crew of the finalist films, as well as any friends, family and film fans. We've set a maximum of four tickets per order; if you're after more than that, please complete a second order. However, before you register tickets for your mates, please check in with them to make sure they are available and keen to attend.

If you wish to sit with your friends, we encourage you to register for tickets together. The ticket site also has functionality to search for attendees and select seats near them, if you wish. Just add your tickets to your cart and progress through to the seat selection stage to search for your mates.

ree

VIP Supporter tickets ($20): Buy your way into some of the best seats in the house! You'll be able to select a seat in the upper-middle rows. Really, this ticket is just a way to show your support for Made in the West and contribute to the event. All proceeds from ticket sales go towards event running costs. Again, expect a maximum of four tickets per order here.

ree

VIP Exclusive Meet & Greet and Screening tickets ($100): Donate to the festival and you'll buy your way into the winners' circle! This is your chance to enjoy sparkling wine upon arrival, your choice of reserved seats in the upper-middle section for the screening and awards, plus unlimited popcorn and soft drinks all night. Really, this ticket is a way to show how much you love Made in the West AND you will also get to celebrate the night in style. All proceeds from ticket sales go towards event running costs (and we thank you dearly!)

Join us online and around the world for our Online Film Festival:

We've got an extra special line-up planned for our annual MEGA Movie Marathon – available to stream between 1 December 2025 and 28 February 2026.

ree

Full Access ($20): Reserve a ticket and we'll send you a direct link to access the show online via Vimeo. Your purchase allows you seven days access from the time you start watching. The 2025 MEGA Movie Marathon features hours of the year’s best short films, as well as interviews with filmmakers and VIP guests and all the highlights from the red carpet at our Opening Night.

Choose Your Own Adventure ($8): We’ve curated the 2025 Official Selection films into themed sets so you can stream only the sessions you want to watch. Purchase what you’re after and we’ll send you a direct link to access the curated set for 72 hours (three days) from the time you start watching.

The best part about streaming online? You can watch the whole show from your couch (or your bed, or the pool!) Invite your friends, settle in with some popcorn and see the year's best films online. That's what we call a win!

Register for your online access to the MEGA Movie Marathon online now via our ticketing page! We'll send you a link to access the online festival on Monday 1 December.

General Admission tickets cost $15 and VIP tickets (good seats and a drink on arrival) cost $25.

TICKET FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the events?

Made in the West is typically an 18+ event. Many of the films contain mature content. This means that all the usual things that will make you cover the eyes and ears of young folk (including strong language, sex scenes, nudity, adult themes, drug use and violence) will likely make an appearance at some point throughout our screenings.

Sorry, no kids allowed - except for our special Youth-Focused All Ages Screening at Street University Liverpool on Wednesday 10 December, which has been curated specifically for families and young people.

Note: If you are the parent or guardian of an under-age cast or crew member of one of our finalist films, feel free to contact us to discuss your options.

My order is more expensive than the advertised price. What gives?

All tickets appear at the same price on the ticket selection menu. Once you have selected your tickets, step through to the order form. Humanitix applies a booking fee and GST to all orders - this is something we are unable to navigate around. All profits from their booking fees go toward charitable causes.

Do I need to bring my ticket to your in-person events?

Yes please! Please bring your ticket/s – digital is preferred (save the trees!) - and show the QR code to our ushers when you arrive so that we can scan your ticket.

Is my ticket transferable?

Yes. You can follow the instructions given below to edit the information including the name and email address for each ticket holder / festival attendee. If you can't do it yourself, you can contact us and we will update your ticket for you.

Can I attend multiple screenings?

You sure can, and we’d love you for it, but you'll need to register your attendance / reserve a ticket for each event.

I don't have the names of people attending yet. Can I still register for tickets?

Enter 'TBC' for the first and last name fields and enter your own contact details for the other phone and email address fields. You can return to the order and edit / amend details later (see instructions below). Note: all names of attendees for Opening Night must be updated by 6pm Friday 21 November or else Jay will be mad.

Can I update my registration information?

You can update or edit the information on your order - like name, email address, or answers to the questions we ask in the checkout section.

To update your information:

  1. Locate the ticket order confirmation email sent to you by Humanitix, and click the 'Manage order' button to amend / update your order online.

  2. From here, you can update, edit or change the details of your order BUT remember to scroll to the bottom of the page to click 'Update' to save your order.

If you can't find your ticket order confirmation email, or have any trouble, please reach out to us for help.

I want to send tickets to everyone who is attending. How can I do that?

Follow the instructions above and click 'Manage order' in your Humanitix confirmation email. Here you can edit your settings to send tickets to everyone attending the event in the top 'Buyer Information' section. Ensure the checkbox next to 'Email tickets to attendees' is ticked, and click the 'Update' button at the bottom of your screen. Confirm with the people attending they have received their tickets; if they haven't, please contact us to assist.

I have questions or concerns about accessibility. Can you help me?

Yes! We've included a detailed Accessibility handbook / information section on our ticketing site. Please refer to it in the first instance, and if you cannot find the answer or information you need, reach out to us.

My issue isn't included here / I need help with something else.

Please check the fantastic help section on Humanitix in the first instance. If you cannot find the answer you're looking for, please reach out to us.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

You can email the Made in the West team here or use the contact form on our website.
