We’re so thrilled to be able to bring together filmmakers from across the entire Western Sydney region to meet online! While things might feel a little mad right now, it’s great to know our creativity and drive to tell stories can never be dampened and we are excited to hear more about your latest projects. We hope you’re ready to reconnect with your filmmaker friends, network with new potential collaborators and find out how everyone’s been and what they’re getting up to during the Covid winter, and discover just how many great people are part of the Western Sydney film scene. Hint: there are A LOT of us!
We'll have some special guests on the call to chat to and of course, there will be moments to mingle and meet new people and tell people about your latest projects. Hang out with us for the night and talk shop with local filmmakers!
From Campbelltown to Parrramatta, Bankstown to The Hills, and from Strathfield all the way out west to Penrith and the Blue Mountains - all filmmakers are welcome to join us. And if you’re a filmmaker who lives outside of Western Sydney and you want to work with some of us on a project, then you can certainly join us too!
Note: Meeting people at any networking event is daunting, but online networking with #WesternSydneyFilm is totally fun! The event is a unique blend of three elements: a live TV show with guest interviews, a Zoom party with random breakout rooms for smaller group chats, and a Choose-Your-own-Adventure-style interactive game, complete with alternate endings!
So pour yourself a drink... or put the kettle n! Get dressed up, or stay dressed down!
It’ll be a night of talking shop and sharing advice, and hopefully having a few laughs while we meet a bunch of other people who make films like we do.
