Become a Festival Sponsor or Partner!

A packed cinema, a buzzing red carpet, and local filmmakers watching their stories light up the big screen. There’s something special about Made in the West, and this year we’re turning 15!

From a casual screening night among friends in 2012 to a festival season bringing Western Sydney stories to audiences in cinemas and online, we’ve come a long way. Our sponsors and partners have helped make that journey possible, and we’re inviting you to join us for our next chapter.
Supporting Made in the West means helping Western Sydney filmmakers find their audiences, build connections and take their next steps.
Your contribution helps us bring locally made films to the cinema, celebrate the people behind them, and help put practical resources and opportunities within reach of emerging screen practitioners.
For a glimpse of what that support means to our community, hear from last year’s finalists in our 2025 Red Carpet Highlights Reel!
We’re delighted to welcome back organisations that share our enthusiasm for Western Sydney film.
Thank you to Event Cinemas Liverpool, Western Sydney University, Screen NSW, Panavision Australia, Luke Walker Productions, Sydney Prop Specialists, Creative + Business, Irierootsini Photography, Opening Act Films, Still Searchin’ Productions, Australian Screen Editors, the Australian Production Design Guild and Made in the West Creative.
From cinema access and student engagement to equipment, industry expertise and prizes, every partner brings something valuable to the festival.
We’d love to hear from businesses, screen guilds, film schools, production companies and arts organisations keen to support our filmmaking community.
Our sponsorship options range from Screen Sponsorship packages supporting event costs, to Prize Sponsorship packages for in-kind prize donations, with opportunities to suit different budgets and goals.

You’ll get to see your logo promoted on the cinema screen, in printed programmes and across our social campaigns, along with complimentary Opening Night VIP tickets and recognition in the festival credits.
There’s plenty of scope to get your creative company in front of our audience, especially if you donate a prize to one of this year’s award winners.
Equipment hire, workshop places, editing or sound studio access, mentorship, photography, software licences and venue access can all help filmmakers move their next project forward.
A DOP package from Luke Walker Productions or equipment supplied by Opening Act Films can keep making a difference long after the applause ends.
Or, you could partner with us to bring Western Sydney films to your community!

We’re also seeking arts and cultural partners interested in sharing Western Sydney films with their own audiences.
Do you have a community screen or a venue looking for engaging summer programming options?
Let’s talk about bringing local stories to your part of town.
The 2026 Festival season begins on Saturday 28 November at Event Cinemas Liverpool and rolls straight into a full program of short films at the cinema, an online movie marathon streaming over summer, and new February showcase events with guest curators and partner venues to finish off the Summer – we can’t wait!
Of course, we'll wrap it all up with a Closing Night Awards Party to remember, where we'll reveal the final winners of the People's Choice Awards. Who doesn’t love an end-of-festival celebration?!

Working with us provides plenty of opportunities to connect your organisation with filmmakers and audiences throughout the season.
And besides that, you’ll be doing good for your local community and helping shape what comes next for the local film scene!
Behind the festival, Made in the West Creative is a social enterprise supporting Western Sydney filmmakers through screenings, training and employment opportunities.
Fifteen years have shown us what this community is capable of when people get behind it. We’re proud of that history and excited about the stories still to come.
Whether you’re interested in sponsorship, contributing a prize or hosting a screening, we’d love to find a partnership that works for you.
Get in touch and help us celebrate 15 years of Western Sydney stories on screen.
