Tickets OPEN for Made in the West 2023

Tickets for Made in the West Film Festival are OPEN NOW!

We can’t wait to celebrate Western Sydney filmmakers on the red carpet later this month – have you seen the latest announcement with the Official Selection?? What an amazing list of films!!

Join us at Event Cinemas Liverpool on Saturday 25 November - doors open at 6pm for red carpet entry and a marathon short film screening and awards night from 7pm. You have to be there!

We’ve made the switch from Eventbrite to Humanitix this year, because we love that they are an Aussie platform with a vision for doing social good through ticketed events and donating their profits to worthy causes.

We’ve prepared this information and help resources to assist you in registering for your in-cinema and online festival tickets. You’ll find a stack of FAQs and step-by-step instructions below to help you with the various parts of ordering your tickets.

Most importantly, and we can’t stress this enough, Made in the West has always been, and always will be, a FREE event. We love throwing a party that celebrates the creative work of Western Sydney filmmakers.

TICKET TYPES

General Admission tickets (FREE): This ticket is free and open to anyone, including all cast & crew of the finalist films, as well as any friends, family and film fans. General admission seats are allocated upon arrival at the event. We’ve set a maximum of four tickets per order; if you’re after more than that, please complete a second order. Before you register tickets for your mates, check in with them to make sure they are available and keen to attend.

Reserved Seating tickets ($20): Buy your way into some of the best seats in the house! We'll find a good spot for you among our VIPs and reserve your seat for you. Really, this ticket is just a way to show your support for Made in the West and contribute to the event. All proceeds from ticket sales go towards event running costs. Again, expect a maximum of four tickets per order here.

VIP Exclusive Pre-Festival Party & Screening tickets ($100): Donate to the festival and you'll buy your way into the winners' circle! This is your chance to mingle with special guests including judges, sponsors and finalist filmmakers at our exclusive Pre-Festival Party, with champagne upon arrival, reserved seating during the screening and awards, plus popcorn and soft drinks all night. Really, this ticket is a way to show how much you love Made in the West AND you will also get to celebrate the night in style. All proceeds from ticket sales go towards event running costs (and we thank you dearly!)

Online MEGA Movie Marathon tickets ($5): If you can't make it to this year's festival in Liverpool, join us online throughout summer as we stream this year's line-up throughout December and January. You'll receive an access code that grants you one week to watch the stellar 3 hour presentation including all the finalist films, red carpet highlights and interviews with the award-winning filmmakers.

SPECIAL GUEST TICKET INFO

We have several ‘hidden’ tickets for VIPs and other special guests. If you have been provided with an ‘access code’ ensure you input this at the ticket selection menu page. Access codes that are input during the checkout (in the ‘discount code’ section) will not work, so you will have to begin your order again.

SEATING ALLOCATIONS

When you arrive at the cinema, head upstairs to the top foyer and show your ticket to enter the festival zone - our ushers will scan the QR code on your ticket/s. Our seating allocation desk will be located near the entrance as you enter the festival, so you can collect your seat numbers and then go through to the red carpet and get your photo snapped on the media wall.

VIP and Reserved ticket holders will have their seats pre-assigned and you will collect your seat number and lanyards upon arrival. All other tickets are General Admission, which means that you will be allocated a seat number upon arrival.

Note: if you wish to sit with friends, please arrive together and get your seats allocated as one group. If you're waiting on your crew, just grab a drink at the bar and hang out in the foyer until everyone is together.

TICKET FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Made in the West is an 18+ event.

Many of the films will contain mature content. This means that all of the usual things (including strong language, sex scenes, nudity, adult themes, drug use and violence) will likely make an appearance at some point throughout the night. That means you can't bring your kids.

Note: If you are the parent or guardian of an under-age cast or crew member of one of our finalist films, feel free to contact us to discuss your options.

What are my transport / parking options for getting to and from the event?

Event Cinemas is located on the top floor of Westfield Shopping Centre, Macquarie Street in Liverpool.

TRAINS & BUSES operate until late.

PEDESTRIAN access to the cinema is via the front street entrance of Westfield Shopping Centre, then take the first escalator to the roof.

PARKING: Access the Westfield carpark via George Street and go to the roof. Parking at Westfield is free for 3 hours if you arrive before 6pm, or entirely free if you arrive after 6pm.

ACCESSIBILITY: The cinema is wheelchair accessible. Please reach out to us if you have additional concerns or questions about accessibility.

Do I need to bring my ticket to the event?

Yes. Please bring your ticket/s - digital is preferred (save the trees!) - and show the QR code to our ushers when you arrive so that we can scan your ticket.

Is my ticket transferable?

Yes. You can follow the instructions given below to edit the information including the name and email address for each ticket holder / festival attendee. If you can't do it yourself, you can contact us and we will update your ticket for you.

My order is more expensive than the advertised price. What gives?

All tickets appear at the same price on the ticket selection menu. Humanitix applies a booking fee and GST to all orders. As a gesture of thanks, Made in the West is covering the booking fee on your behalf, but you may still need to pay the GST. All profits from their booking fees go toward charitable causes.

I don’t have the names of people attending yet. Can I still register for tickets?

Enter ‘TBD’ for the first and last name fields and enter your own contact details for ‘Other’ phone and email address fields. You can return to the order and edit / amend details later (see instructions below). Note: all names of attendees must be updated by 6pm Friday 24 November.

Can I update my registration information?

You can update or edit the information on your order — like name, email address, or answers to the questions we ask in the check out section.

To update your information:

  • From here, you can update, edit or change the details of your order BUT remember to scroll to the bottom of the page to click a button to Save your order.

If you can't find your ticket order confirmation email, or have any trouble, please reach out to us for help.

I want to send tickets to everyone who is attending. How can I do that?
