Made in the West is back for our ninth annual film festival on Saturday 21 November 2020!! Thanks to our awesome venue sponsors at Event Cinemas Liverpool we'll be returning to the V-Max cinema for our third year! We couldn't be more excited to be working alongside these legends to showcase the latest films from Western Sydney filmmakers and look back on almost a decade of films made in the West.
Let’s all think back to last year: the massive big screen, luxurious leather seats and surround sound - not to mention the private bar and in-cinema VIP drinks, the incredible buzz in the cinema, those kick-ass finalist films AND being snapped by the papps on the red carpet with hundreds of other local filmmakers...
Quite understandably, we’re chuffed as can be about returning to Event Cinemas Liverpool for the third time!
Plus, we've got some exciting new plans to announce soon that we think you're going to LOVE. Thanks to the team at Event Cinemas, we're kicking things up a notch this year!
On behalf of the Still Searchin’ Productions team and the whole Western Sydney filmmaking community, we’d like to thank the management and team at Event Cinemas in Liverpool for being so supportive and welcoming of Western Sydney filmmakers and local indie films. Their mission to support the local community and bring our stories to the big screen is pretty impressive.
We are absolutely thrilled to be working alongside them to grow Western Sydney film audiences and develop community support for our local film scene.
This year's festival kicks off at 6pm on Saturday 21 November and WE. CANNOT. WAIT. Strap yourselves in for a full night of short films, awards, cocktails and networking, and don’t forget to bring your mates because - as always - we will be finishing the screening with a live vote to decide who takes home the trophy for our highly coveted Audience Choice Award.

Made in the West is currently still scheduled for Saturday 21 November. We are proceeding with caution and listening carefully to the advice of the NSW Government and Chief Medical Officer in relation to social distancing measures. We are hopeful that social distancing measures will be relaxed by November and we will be able to host the festival as planned at Event Cinemas Liverpool.
