Congratulations to everyone in the 2024 Marathon Selection!
Please put your hands together for these 23 fantastic filmmakers and be sure to join us at the festival to help us cheer them on this summer!
There’s nothing like the feeling you get when your film plays to an audience! We love it and we love bringing that experience to Western Sydney filmmakers each year - it’s what drives us!
Congratulations again to all the entrants who submitted a film to Made in the West this year and of course, a special mention must go to the Official Selection who are vying for the judges’ awards & prizes on Opening Night. Good luck everyone!
We think Western Sydney films deserve to be seen on an international stage and we’re proud to be leading the way to make that to happen.
The full Made in the West 2024 program showcases 23 short films made by filmmakers from right across Western Sydney, from Penrith to Padstow, Cabramatta to Casula, Harrington Park to Harris Park, and Blair Athol to Bella Vista.
This bumper 3-hour marathon is packed to the brim with entertainment including your very own host, highlights from the red carpet, interviews with finalist filmmakers and the organisers of Made in the West.
While the films differ in genre, they all share one thing in common: they each feature a cast member, crew member or location from Western Sydney. And we think that’s pretty fabulous!
Stay tuned for more festival announcements coming soon!
