Made in the West is excited to announce its prize sponsors for 2015!
Our good friends at Green Key Studios have come on board once again to offer the major prize for our 'Best in the West' winner -- 2 days studio time (value $1000) in their awesome green screen studios! GKS has the only green screen for hire in western Sydney and you can run amok in there shooting your next awesome driving scene or music video with free access to the green key and lighting rigs. For the first time in 2015, our student film entries are also in the running for a prize! This year's winner of the 'Best Student Film' scores a new iPad (value $500), thanks to Western Sydney University. WSU is the only university in Western Sydney offering courses in Media Arts Production, so get amongst it (we did!). We’re really happy to have their support this year and wish all of our student entries luck in the running for a prize.
Still Searchin’ Productions supports the annual 'Audience Choice Award', voted for on the night by YOU, the audience! Yep, that’s right, it’s all about you choosing the films that you like best (… and that’s kinda why it’s our favourite). At the end of the final segment you will cast your votes and then SSP will count them up and present the highly coveted ACA trophy to the winner. Hoorah!
Throughout the night we will announce the winners of the individual category prizes, selected by our independent panel of judges. You could take home the award for Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Editor, Best Actress or Actor, and for the first time this year – Best Sound Design.
All winners and finalists should expect an interview on the red carpet with our wonderful media sponsors, TVS Television Sydney! TVS is a great supporter of locally produced content and will be there with the cameras to catch all of the red carpet glamour once again. We'd like to say thank you for their amazing support and we look forward to seeing western Sydney filmmakers represented on the small screen after the event!
