2019 Semi-Finalists announced!

Congratulations Western Sydney filmmakers for a record-breaking year of films!! We had nearly sixty submissions this year which is bloody brilliant for a little festival like Made in the West -- what a way to kick off our 8th annual film festival for local filmmakers! We are just blown away by the quality of the productions being made here in the West right now and we'd like to say well done to all of the filmmakers who submitted a film this year. Meet the 2019 JUDGES!

Well, it's finally here! Submissions have officially CLOSED and we're now in the final four-week countdown to Made in the West 2019! We have some AMAZING entries this year and if it were left up to us to decide who wins our festival awards, let's face it, we'd never be able to decide! So every year at this time, we think to ourselves - thank goodness we have our festival judges! NINE wonderful artists whose keen eyes for screen mastery and years of filmmaking experience will combine to help us decide who wins this year’s crystal trophies. The judges’ collective scores determine who will take home our two major trophies - 'Best Student Film' and 'Best in the West' (for indie filmmakers). Plus

Made in the West is ready to ROCK Liverpool!

We hope you’re ready to party, Western Sydney! Made in the West is returning to Event Cinemas in Liverpool for the second year running, and we couldn't more excited to be screening Western Sydney-made films in the awesome big screen Vmax cinema at Event Cinemas in Liverpool. Let’s all think back to 2018: the three storey screen, luxurious leather seats, surround sound and digital cinema package, not to mention the private bar and being snapped by the paps on the red carpet with hundreds of other local filmmakers... Quite understandably, we’re thrilled to bits to be coming back to Liverpool Event Cinemas! From the Still Searchin’ Productions team and also, on behalf of the whole Western Sydne
